Cada sábado, a las 8 de la mañana, una multitud proveniente de diferentes países y regiones se da cita en el santuario salteño de la Santísima Virgen, en el barrio Tres Cerritos, para meditar y orar frente a la imagen de la madre de Jesús.
La imagen de la virgen recibe a los peregrinos con una sonrisa cálida, dispuesta a atender sus súplicas y a escuchar sus lamentos constituyéndose en un referente de amor y consuelo para quienes tienen fe en los milagros.
La devoción en el Santuario de la Inmaculada Madre del Divino Corazón Eucarístico de Jesús comenzó luego de que se difundieran los mensajes que María Livia Galliano, una mujer de la región, afirma haber recibido instrucciones de la Virgen en apariciones que datan del año 1990 en las que la virgen le habría dicho que era necesario rezar por la paz del mundo que está amenazada, por los pecadores y por los que sufren.
Según narra, la Virgen le habría indicado donde debía construirse el santuario y que desde ese lugar se iniciaría un proceso de evangelización que contribuiría a que el mundo se convierta.
Desde el año 2001, todos los sábados, Galliano pone la mano sobre el hombro de cada devoto que se acerca a ella, en una actitud que se interpreta como una oración de intercesión ante la Virgen.
Desde la cima, a aproximadamente 350 metros de altura, se puede apreciar hacia el oeste toda la ciudad de Salta. Los visitantes acceden al santuario en aproximadamente media hora por una senda del segundo de los tres cerros desde donde se puede ver el barrio Tres Cerritos en la zona norte de la ciudad.
Un aroma a rosas invade el lugar y se respira una sensación de paz que infunde en los visitantes una profunda fe cristiana que da sentido a su peregrinación.
Virgen del cerro, beyond faith and devotion
Every Saturday, at 8 o’clock in the morning, a crowd from different countries and regions comes together in the salteño sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin, in the neighborhood of Tres Cerritos, to meditate and pray in front of the image of the mother of Jesus.
The image of the Virgin receives pilgrims with a warm smile, ready to listen to their pleas and listen to their laments becoming a reference of love and comfort for those who have faith in miracles.
The devotion in the Shrine of the Immaculate Mother of the Divine Eucharistic Heart of Jesus began after messages that Maria Livia Galliano, a woman from the region, declared having received from the Virgin in apparitions dating from the year 1990 in which the virgin would have told her that it was necessary to pray for the peace of the world that is threatened by sinners and by those who suffer.

Since 2001, every Saturday, Galliano puts his hand on the shoulder of every devotee who approaches her, in an attitude that is interpreted as an intercessory prayer before the Virgin.
From the top, approximately 350 meters high, you can see the entire city of Salta to the west. Visitors access the sanctuary in about half an hour by a path on the second of the three hills from where you can see the Tres Cerritos neighborhood in the northern part of the city.
A scent of roses invades the place and a sense of peace is breathed, infusing visitors with a deep Christian faith that gives meaning to their pilgrimage.
