En esta cumbre se ubica un hermoso jardín botánico adornado por plantas de diversos países.
Puerto Plata está rodeada de pintorescas playas, entre ellas Bahía de Sosúa, Playa Dorada y el parque del Océano Mundial, este último con enormes acuarios y una impresionante colección de peces multicolores, corales y otros habitantes de las profundidades del mar.
Otro sitio fascinante es su centro histórico donde se pueden contemplar las singulares edificaciones de estilo victoriano que construyeron los ingleses a mediados del siglo XIX, así mismo sus curvas y estrechas calles.
Si quiere remontarse en el tiempo, puede visitar La Fortaleza de San Felipe, una imponente edificación que forma parte del Patrimonio Histórico Nacional, construida para proteger a la ciudad de los ataques de piratas ingleses y franceses. Hoy convertida en un museo con leyendas y toda clase de objetos relacionados a la historia de la ciudad.
